Double Play Date

On a recent rainy day, Mariah had her first official playdate chez nous (at our house).

She's had friends over several times at Nana's (all 3 girls have)....I guess because my Nana is a 'glutten for punishment' and watching three kids at age 89 isn't daring enough for her. :o)

But this time Mariah had a little friend over to our house. And there was a bonus...

the little girl had a sister who's Arissa's age!

So the sister came too, and Mariah included Mallory in her fun, and we all had a great time.

I had a few activities planned (idle kids = messy house, I've learned).

First, we baked cookies (it was raining, so baking had to be done!).

We also did a Valentine craft (while the cookies were baking) that involved markers and rhinestones and glue. Fun!

Mariah had the time of her life. She'd been asking to have this little girl over forever! The girl was so sweet and well behaved (so was the sister). I would gladly have them over again any time.
