My sweet assisants helped Mallory when it was time for gifts:
She got so many nice things and could not have been happier:
I loved the cake and it was well worth the money I spent:
She let her friends take over the blowing out of the candles....I hope all their wishes come true!
Look at Audie trying to sneak out with that gigantic piece of cake!!! Who does she think she is???
(I gave her a piece to take home to her parents) :)
Me and my tired girl after all the guests had gone home:
It takes a big crew to pull off a Howard Family Birthday Party.
My lovely assistant #1:
Lovely assisant #2:
Lovely assistant (and heavy-lifter, stair-climber, music-player) #3:
And after we cleaned up we took a moment to look at all the drawings that Mallory's friends had left:
How cute is this one, my favorite:
In case you couldn't quite make it out, those are "talking socks"
so-labeled by the artist),
a happy birthday wish for Mallory,
and a foot-note of "just be my friend".
Awwwwww! Cuteness.
I used 2 big fat super-saver skeins of yarn to make some braids for decorations:
As Jesse and I were cleaning up afterward, we turned up the music and the girls put them to good use:
Mallory wouldn't let me throw them away afterward. So there are currently some really long, blonde braids throughout our house. Kind of creepy. Hopefully they will accidentally make their way to the trash can sometime soon, and no one will miss them.
It was such a lovely, perfect party. The kind you cross your fingers and hope it will be when you're planning it.
One down, two to go!
